Hello Faith Pals,
Going through some papers, I unearthed two quite moving items :
‘God can use you to your full potential…
The next time you feel like God can’t use you, just remember…
Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womaniser
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ
The disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
Mary Magdalene was, well you know
The Samaritan women was divorced, more than once
Zacchaeus was too short
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer
AND
Lazarus was dead!
…no more excuses now.
God can use you to your full potential.
Besides you aren’t the message, you are the messenger.’
-Author unknown.
I had to look up two of these: Isaiah 20: 2, and 1 Timothy 5: 23 (didn’t say he had an ulcer)
The other item was:
‘One day you’ll be just a memory for some people. Do your best to be a good one.’
Well, you are all good memories for me!
